SMART Patrol

SMART Patrol is Radio-Tech’s data management and Automatic Meter Reading (AMR) software application which is compatible with the following 32-bit Microsoft® Windows® Operating Systems 2000 and XP.

With two core operating modes SMART Patrol can be configured to download the latest meter reading for simple domestic billing applications or it can be configured to download logged consumption data to support tariff billing, commercial billing or consumption profiling activities. This rapid data capture helps to further reduce the ‘per meter cost’ of meter reading, whilst delivering improvements in meter reading efficiency.

In Drive-by mode, operators can take advantage of SMART Patrols ‘route planning’ facility that allows operators to list meters in a preferred order to maximise their data capture efficiencies or fall in-line with existing processes. Once programmed, each address is visible to the operator with SMART Patrol guiding them to the next meter location. During the Drive-by, Data Collection progress colours are used to identify the stages or progress of the download. In addition to this, SMART Patrol also has an audible assistant that advises when meters are downloading and when they have completed download.

Operational
The SMART Patrol application is a sophisticated piece of software that is capable of much more than just data collection. Its flexible design allows for user defined download periods and dynamic field analysis of flow information, helping to further improve customer service and meter reading efficiencies.

Prior to driving the route, meter readers can define a preferred download period, maximising their read efficiency by ensuring that they do not spend any unnecessary time in field duplicating reads that they may have previously received. The meter reader can choose between 1 to 52 weeks of profiled information to download; factory default is 4 weeks for fast drive-by speeds.
