The first reporting year of the Carbon Reduction Commitment (CRC) Energy Efficiency Scheme is now complete and many organisations have, for the first time, recorded their entire energy use. With a league table published in November 2011, and the need to purchase allowances in the next financial year, organisations are being given more incentives to become energy efficient and more carbon friendly.
